Paradox of the grand scheme

Thought authenticity, morality, transcendence 1 min read

"In the grand scheme of things, xyz doesn’t matter"

Indeed, in the grand scheme of things, one heartbreak, one failed test, etc. does not matter.

However, the grand scheme of things is shaped by the summation of small everyday things, like habits—rather than one big life changing moment, though those do exist.

Your small everyday changes the course/trajectory of your life; 0.1 degrees doesn’t mean much at first, but over decades of "flying," you end up somewhere completely different.

Live fully in the present with regard for the future. By living "in the grand scheme of things," one loses out on the present.
